Virtual Gardens visit – Logan Botanic Gardens

Sep 12, 2020

From a visit in September 2015 by Matt Benians, SGLH Trustee

Whilst Scotland remains in partial lockdown, we are quenching your thirst to visit Scotland’s magnificent gardens and designed landscapes with the second in a series of virtual garden visits to Logan Botanic Gardens.  A regional garden operated by RBGE https://www.rbge.org.uk/visit/logan-botanic-garden/ are once again open to the public.  Located on the south-western tip of Scotland, Logan enjoys an almost subtropical climate.  The Garden’s avenues and borders feature a spectacular and colourful array of half-hardy perennials.  The Garden is warmed by the Gulf Stream which enables plants from Australia, New Zealand, South and Central America and Southern Africa to thrive.  Please check website for information on opening times and covid-19 health and safety measures.  We’d love to share your visits with SGLH members.  Therefore, please send photographs of gardens you have visited along with a short description (this doesn’t need to be more than three or four sentences) to website@sglh.org and we will upload these onto the SGLH news page.
